As the first Officially Licensed ASE Test Prep Provider, Motor Age Training strives to stay current with exam task lists published by The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). The task lists are used by ASE to measure repair skills and knowledge for the thousands of technicians who take the exams each year.
Our editing process works like this:
- ASE shares revised task lists with us in late summer. The new task lists we receive go into effect in January of the coming year.
- Not all exams undergo task list changes. Therefore, we do not revise all study guides each year. We only revise those with task list changes.
- Revisions are made as quickly as possible using our ASE certified technical editors and/or outside contractors who also have ASE certifications.
- If you see a copyright date (below) that appears older, it often means the task list hasn’t changed since those revisions were made.
Note: These dates apply to Motor Age Training products only. They do not apply to partner products, such as ASE test prep videos, which we do not control.
